The Liberal Party of Canada is seeking a Coordinator, Fundraising (Laurier Club) and National Events to work with the Party’s National Office in Ottawa, joining a dedicated team of staff to support Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team’s work to keep Canada moving forward.

The Laurier Club is the Liberal Party of Canada’s long-standing national donation program consisting of community leaders, professionals, and passionate Canadians. This group supports the Party’s efforts and campaigns by donating at the highest allowable level and plays an integral role in representing and promoting Liberal values in Canada.

The Coordinator, Fundraising (Laurier Club) and National Events will report to the Manager, Laurier Club and National Events and support a team responsible for growing the Laurier Club program, stewarding and engaging with its donors, and the growth and management of national fundraising events. This role is also responsible for supporting engagement with key fundraising volunteers.

Job Duties

  • Assist in written and verbal communications with donors, potential donors, and supporters across the country
  • Assist in the compilation of data for various reports
  • Event planning and event logistical support (both virtual and in person once safely resumed in line with health guidance)
  • Research and identify prospects
  • Maintain and monitor donor material inventory levels; place orders as required
  • Organize materials for distribution and mailing
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, including virtual meetings or teleconferences, documentation preparation and distribution
  • Support the logistical aspects of departmental programs such as print and digital campaigns, events and special projects.
  • Perform cross-functional duties, as assigned.


  • University degree or a combination of education, certification, and professional work experience
  • Solid judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
  • Strong administrative & organizational skills
  • Technical skills; proficient in Excel and Office Suite, as well as CRM tools (experience with Salesforce an asset)
  • Experience with digital events and platforms (Zoom Webinar, Go To Webinar, etc.) is an asset
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven multi-tasking skills
  • Experiences related to event management and communications are an asset
  • Bilingualism an asset
