Location Ottawa, ON Summary The Liberal Party of Canada (LPC) is seeking a Fundraising Coordinator to work at the Party’s National Office in Ottawa, joining a dedicated team of staff to support Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Fundraising Operations, the Coordinators are responsible for acting as a first-point-of-contact for the Liberal Party of Canada’s fundraising engagement. Coordinators represent the brand and the values of the Liberal Party of Canada to our supporters and Canadians, and work to build support for our party between and during elections. Coordinators handle LPC correspondence with emphasis on fundraising and donor stewardship with the utmost respect for great service, engagement, and professionalism. Responsibilities Answering inquiries by email and phone courteously and professionally; Categorizing inquiries, assigning inquiries to other LPC departments or triaging inquiries to experts in a particular field; Working tirelessly to find a solution and/or suitable response in a timely manner; Making stewardship phone calls to keep LPC donors engaged; Making donation asks via phone calls or email to potential donors or lapsed donors; Maintaining knowledge of current events, politics, messaging, and training materials; Assisting all departments as required. Qualifications Experience in some form of customer service and engaging with the public; Strong ability to sell and fundraise; Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office; Ability to manage databases, confidential information, and responsible payment processes; Ability to represent the Liberal Party of Canada in a positive manner; Above average skills in building relationships is an asset; Experience in campaigning, politics, policy and/or government are desirable; Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French is highly preferred; University degree or College diploma in related field or similar work experience.
