Location Ottawa, ON Reports to Manager, Laurier Club and National Events Summary The Liberal Party of Canada is seeking a Coordinator, National Events for an opportunity to join a dedicated team of staff to support Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team. The Coordinator, National Events will report to the Manager, Laurier Club and National Events and support in the planning, coordination and delivery of outstanding events for community leaders, professionals, and passionate Canadians. This role will play a key role in every part of the event preparation and execution. We are looking for someone who cares about the work we do and who is a great fit for our culture and team. What we are looking for Attention to Detail Donor Focus Event Management Communication Organization Ownership Professionalism Resourceful Time Management What you’ll be doing With support from the Laurier Club and National events team, utilizes project management methodologies, ensuring event planning, documentation, communication, and deliverables are on time and within budgets Develops work plans and critical path of activities for each event to ensure that the planning and implementation is on track Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and outside vendors on event execution Develop and distribute event materials as require Organize and coordinate meetings, including virtual meetings or teleconferences, documentation preparation, and distribution Assist in written and verbal communications and promotional materials for donors, potential donors, and supporters across the country Assist in the compilation of data to report on event success Perform cross-functional duties, as assigned You’ll need to have University or college degree in a relevant discipline, or a combination of education, certification, and professional work experience Fundraising experience, with a proven track record in event management Experience working with volunteers an asset Solid judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters Excellent interpersonal skills Strong administrative & organizational skills Technical skills; proficient in Excel and Office Suite, as well as CRM tools (experience with Salesforce an asset) Experience with digital events and platforms (Zoom Webinar, Go To Webinar, etc.) is an asset Strong verbal and written skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proven multi-tasking skills Bilingualism an asset Working Conditions Some travel may be required when public health conditions safely allow Will require flexible work hours at times Fast paced, dynamic environment Permanent, Full time position What we offer Health and dental benefits Life and critical illness insurance Short term and long term disability plan Defined contribution pension plan Maternity/Parental leave top-ups Flexible schedule arrangements Employee and family assistance program Prime downtown location close to transit and shopping Free Gym membership and shower facilities Bike lockers Deadline to Apply July 8, 2022 Apply The Liberal Party of Canada is committed to the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
