Summary

The Liberal Party of Canada is seeking a new Field Organizer for an opportunity to join a dedicated team of staff to support Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team as we work to keep Canada moving forward. The Field Organizer may need to work occasional overtime.

The National Field Program is a key pillar of the Liberal Party of Canada’s engagement and election readiness strategy. At its core, the program is about growing our movement for positive change, by leading conversations and engagement with Canadians. You will be joining the team that empowered tens of thousands of volunteers to make 21 million knocks on doors and calls to connect with voters before and during the 2019 campaign.

As a Field Organizer on Justin Trudeau’s team, you will be part of a national team, organizing local volunteers to build our movement through conversations with voters and grassroots fundraising.

What you’ll be doing

  • Organize teams to facilitate fundraising, engagement, and movement building.
  • Identify, motivate, and train local volunteers and volunteer leaders.
  • Meet clear goals to increase the number of Victory Fund donors in each riding.
  • Provide training, support, and management for local teams, organizers, riding associations, and volunteers.
  • Regularly host in-person and online training sessions and team meetings.
  • Assist local organizers and teams, and key volunteers in the planning and management of fundraising, engagement and movement building activities.
  • Assist in the development, promotion, and sharing of best practice modules.
  • Assist in maintaining the LPC’s online and social media presence.
  • Ensure all fundraising, volunteer and engagement data is appropriately tracked in Liberalist.

You’ll need to have

  • Great personality! You should be energetic, organized, love people, and be comfortable with public speaking.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Canadian politics and the values that bring us together as a Party.
  • Passionate about raising money for a good cause.
  • Good technical skills and the ability to problem solve in the moment.
