Summary

The Liberal Party of Canada (LPC) is seeking Fundraising Coordinators to work at the Party’s National Office in Ottawa, joining a dedicated team of staff to support our Liberal team as we work to keep Canada moving forward. This can be a suitable role for university students as we can offer part-time hours that can accommodate different schedules.

Reporting to the Manager, Liberal Solutions, the Coordinators are responsible for acting as a first point of contact for the Liberal Party of Canada’s fundraising engagement. Coordinators represent the brand and the values of the Liberal Party of Canada to our supporters and Canadians, and work to build support for our party between and during elections. Coordinators handle LPC correspondence with emphasis on fundraising and donor stewardship with the utmost respect for great service, engagement, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Answering inquiries by email and phone courteously and professionally
  • Categorizing inquiries, assigning inquiries to other LPC departments or triaging inquiries to experts in a particular field
  • Make stewardship phone calls to keep LPC donors engaged
  • Make donation asks via phone calls or email to potential donors or lapsed donors
  • Maintain knowledge of current events, politics, messaging, and training materials

Qualifications

  • Experience in some form of customer service and engaging with the public
  • Ability to manage databases, confidential information, and responsible payment processes
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary
  • Above average skills in building relationships is an asset
  • Experience in campaigning, politics, policy and/or government is an asset
  • University degree or College diploma in related field or similar work experience is an asset
  • Financial literacy is an asset
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
