Summary

The Liberal Party of Canada (LPC) is seeking a permanent, full-time Program Manager, Laurier Club for an opportunity to join a dedicated team of staff and volunteers to help achieve the Liberal Party of Canada’s mission and support our work together to deliver real progress for all Canadians.

As the Program Manager, Laurier Club, you will serve as a fundraising leader and relationship-builder for the LPC’s fundraising activities across Canada. Meeting both monthly and annual fundraising targets, you will be responsible for managing a comprehensive growth and stewardship plan for the Laurier Club with a focus on segmented growth and retention.

The Laurier Club is the Liberal Party of Canada’s long-standing national donation program consisting of community and industry leaders, professionals, and passionate Canadians. This group supports the Party’s efforts by donating at the maximum allowable level and plays an integral role in representing and defending Liberal values in Canada.

What you’ll be doing

An expert fundraiser, your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Development and implementation of cultivation, solicitation and donor/host stewardship strategies and renewal strategies
  • Event strategies
  • Maintenance of up-to-date reports and donor/host records
  • Thoughtful follow-up of pledge fulfillment
  • Maintenance of volunteer relations

More specifically, you will:

  • Execute on monthly and annual goals, targets and metrics to ensure that fundraising efforts are effective, efficient and successful
  • Manage stewardship and acquisition strategies for the Laurier Club program across multiple events, telemarketing, direct mail and digital channels
  • Develop and/or refine segmented programs including pricing strategies and donor journeys
  • Work collaboratively with the Manager, Fundraising Events to lead and execute Laurier Club stewardship and fundraising events
  • Analyze and leverage donor data and trends
  • Oversee peer-to-peer-driven events and fundraising campaigns
  • Develop working relationships with the Revenue Committee, and provide tools and support to ensure objectives are met
  • Develop relationships with high-value donors and prospects
  • Commit to performance targets, and report on revenue and donor metrics
  • Keep current on all stewardship and donor recognition vehicles
  • Develop working relationships with senior stakeholders, and ensure effective outreach
  • Work with the fundraising, digital and communications teams to develop and deploy Laurier Club strategic and budget plans, stewardship and acquisition campaigns

You’ll need to have

  • Post-secondary degree in marketing, commerce or related field and 3-5 years’ experience working within a fundraising development environment
  • Financial literacy and data acumen
  • Considerable experience with major fundraising programs, donor stewardship management and VIP stakeholder relations
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, with the ability to inspire others to support LPC’s vision
  • Ability to think strategically and provide detailed analysis
  • Ability to develop annual plans, set priorities, and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with Excel and Office Suite and CRM tools — Salesforce preferred
  • Considerable experience with database work and reporting
  • Initiative and attention to details, with excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Fluency in both English and French is highly preferred
